Roles and Responsibilities

As a Board Member, you are entrusted with both leadership and representation roles that are central to the success and impact of the conference. Your responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Planning & Guidance: Understand and align with the vision of the conference, providing strategic input and guidance to ensure a high-quality academic event.
  • Scientific Agenda & Program Execution: Assist in developing and executing the conference's scientific program, ensuring relevance, diversity, and alignment with thematic objectives.
  • Identification of Experts Identify and invite prominent researchers and subject-matter experts to participate in the conference and contribute meaningfully to its sessions.
  • Deliver the Keynote Address Represent the board by delivering a keynote session, offering thought leadership, expert insights, and inspiration to all attendees.
  • Moderation and Session Engagement Introduce speakers or facilitators, ensure interactive discussions, and actively engage with the audience during presentations.
  • Supervision of Activities Oversee conference tasks and activities, ensuring that deadlines are met and execution adheres to the planned schedule.
  • Publicity and Outreach Oversight Work closely with the Project Manager to supervise and ensure consistency in all publicity materials, including website content, social media, flyers, and event announcements. Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee and thoroughly assess all forms of publicity, including social media, websites, flyers, notifications, announcements, posters, and more, ensuring complete consistency.
  • Regional Engagement Identify outstanding researchers and professionals within the region and encourage their involvement in the conference and broader organizational initiatives.
  • Keynote and Guest Coordination: Coordinate with other keynote speakers and Guests of Honor to confirm participation and synchronize their topics with the program agenda.
